Philosophy and Curriculum
Guided by the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG), we embrace the emergent curriculum model. This model allows us to be responsive to the ever-evolving interests and needs of our children. As co-creators of the program, children, educators, and families collaborate to shape an environment where wonder, excitement, and individual interests drive learning and development.
At our core, we empower children to cultivate a strong sense of identity, belonging, and curiosity. Recognising the uniqueness of each child, we tailor our approach to honour their individuality while fostering a cohesive sense of community within our learning spaces.
At our centre, we embrace the importance of teaching compassion for animals. Our program includes hands-on experiences with various creatures, including our friendly chickens, lovingly hand-reared right here. We also house a native stingless beehive, fish, and our adorable wellbeing dog in training, Harry! These animal companions not only enhance our learning environment but also teach valuable lessons in empathy and responsibility.
